Both Janice and Siobhan are ethical, trustworthy individuals that offer a wealth of knowledge in their Reiki Courses. An environment of mutual trust and respect was created enabling me as a student to grasp the clarity of intent and guide me to my own empowerment. I became aware that Reiki is very much a spiritual journey and working hard at a life of self development and self-practise, which will enable me to heighten my treatments as a Reiki practitioner. During my journey I am confident that, as my instructors both Siobhan and Janice will be there to support and assist in love and light.

Space Clearing:

Ghosts! How many of us truly believe in hauntings? To be honest until a few years ago I was uncertain where I stood on the subject. The existence of spiritual beings intrigued me but beyond that I didn’t give it much thought – that is, until we moved into our present house in 1998.
From the start odd things happened. Plates hang on my dining room walls. The same plate would repeatedly fall off the wall in spite of it being securely fastened. It was a very old square plate belonging to my great-grandmother and each time it fell, a different corner would neatly break off. I have shelves filled with floral ornaments in the living room and, occasionally, one would have moved by itself; yet there were no footprints on the vacuumed carpet. A young Chinese guest staying downstairs one evening raced upstairs hair standing on end. A ruler and an eraser on a bookcase adjoining his bed had independently traversed the length of the top shelf. Often at night, while sitting at my computer, the hairs on the back of my neck would stand on end. It would feel like someone or something was present in the room, but I was only alone. Standing at the door to the family room I observed smoke circling up from my computer keyboard. While upstairs my family and I routinely heard the front door open and close although no one came in and it had been locked. We would also see someone at the top of the stairs heading for the bedrooms, although once again we would discover the presence of no one. The dogs would bark randomly at, seemingly, nothing. My university aged daughter complained that while lying in bed the opposite side of her bed would frequently jiggle up and down. Scared she piled stuffed toys along the side so that she would not roll over on it. Her older brother was often awakened by a shrieking noise in one of the walls in his room and a voice saying,“Hello.” The most terrifying event for me occurred when lying on my made bed only to feel a presence underneath me. I leapt off and watched while all the covers were pulled back and sideways as they were rolled across the bed leaving the bottom sheet exposed. This happened twice.
Visiting my chiropractor’s office one day, I commented that he must have had the heat fixed in one of the examining rooms which, until then, had been cold. He laughed and said, “No, they had had the house cleansed of negative spirits by two local shamans – The Healing Chicks.” The whole area felt differently – warm, light and bright. This led me to tell him of the odd occurrences in my own home. After some discussion and the fact that my daughter was afraid to stay in the house by herself, I contacted Janis and Shiobhan. They were wonderful. We met a couple of times and they interviewed all of the family members and even my son’s girlfriend who had experienced similar phenomena while visiting. They paid particular attention to my daughter’s feelings and the activity in her room.
A date was set in April and a band of helpers was assembled for the house cleansing. To start the cleansing we were all de-corded (negative entities clinging to us were removed). Next the exterior walls and grounds of the house were cleansed using smouldering sage, drums and some other artifacts. It was interesting that at points we could all see what looked like large bubbles and later mirages escape up and into the air. Following this the inside was done. The house is large and it did take some time. A friend was on hand to photograph the experience. This permitted Janis and Shioban to look for and document the orbs (entities) later through the photos.
After the cleansing, the house felt much brighter and the negative phenomena ceased. To this day there is simply a feeling of contentment. At the beginning of the process, Siobhan and Janis explained that there were unwanted spirits who needed to be encouraged to “go onto the light” in other words leave and protective spirits who were here for a purpose. We still did, for a time after the cleansing, have one of the latter (protective) kinds. , , the one who came up the stairs and headed towards the bedrooms. Janis and Siobhan felt that this spirit was protecting my daughter. This is probably the case because since my daughter moved away from home in September we have had no more sightings.
Since having my house cleansed, I have strongly recommended it to several people – not just to rid themselves of spiritual entities but negative energy particularly in the case of prolonged sickness or for some “bad luck.” I have two science degrees and a nursing background and for years lived with the belief that things need to be “measurable” – “quantifiable.” However, as I have aged I have delved more into both the spiritual and energy fields. I practice energy healing as do both Siobhan and Janis with their Reiki. It should be noted that Therapeutic Touch was recognized by the Canadian Nursing Association in the early 1970s as a legitimate form of practice. I believe that there are many dimensions in this world and that by opening both our minds and our hearts we will be able to penetrate and experience more of these mysteries. Having my house cleansed was both a positive and reaffirming experience for me and those who participated in the process and for friends who experienced the result of the cleansing. If you are experiencing any unwanted activity in your home or feel that where you live is simply not a happy place, that is one filled with negative energy, I would strongly encourage you to contact Janis and Siobhan. I am certainly glad I did.

Dear Janis and Siobhan,
Thank you so much for your amazing healing session. I was not certain what to expect when I got there but when the session was over, I felt like a new person.  I arrived feeling exhausted and my body was wracked with pain. Janis and Siobhan, the “Two Healing Chicks”, have been a major contributor to my recovery from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I loved receiving Reiki from them, they had the ability to perceive the source of the emotional problems that were blocking my recovery. They taught me to nurture and love my inner child and myself. They helped me to understand my fears and believe in myself, giving me confidence that no matter what happens I will be able to handle the situation. This has resulted in a sense of wellbeing that permeates my current life, so much so that I have been inspired to learn Reiki and have become a Reiki Master under their tutelage. I look forward to becoming a teacher and having the ability to help spread this wonderful healing modality. I am so grateful to the both of them for all that they have done for me and taught me.
